What inspires you?
Street style I see riding my dutch bike around the city—travel—music—french new wave films—TINTIN—fashion icons like Polly Allen Mellen—photographers like Tim Walker, Jean-Pierre Khazem, and Sam Haskins.
What is your favorite piece of clothing?
My Ralph Lauren RRL quilted patchwork flannel shirt. Made from all the patterns RRL used for Fall 2011. It was a limited edition of 50. You'll find it in my Santa Fe Sandalista design.
What is your preferred medium?
My illustrations are either drawn with the computer mouse or hand stitched on fabric. I carry a sketchbook and a sharpie marker—I've tried to be modern and use my sketchbook mobile iPhone app—but you can't beat a sharpie.
What is something unexpected about yourself?
I have the largest collection of framed vintage Snoopy needlepoint in the U.S.
