Nicole Tamarin
My husband once called me the Macgyver of all non-threatening situations and my mother said I've been busy since birth! But truly, I love to create, decorate and manipulate all that is around me. I have a degree in Illustration from Mass College of Art where I graduated with Departmental Honors. I have always had an interest in product design and actually took a year's worth of classes while in school. After college I worked at an interior design firm where I got to explore the use of space, color, pattern, and texture. I feel so lucky to have found my true fit designing art for products as it seems to tie all my previous interests neatly together.

Who is your favorite all time artist?
Trina Stewart Hyman. She has a dreamy quality to all of her work and her figures are so impish. I love the details and line work she achieves. One of my favorite books is Peter Pan, and her version has remained as most looked through copies.

What are your favorite pair of shoes?
I promise this is not a paid advertisement, but I'm a total flip flop girl! Give me a messy bun and flip flops over make up and heels any day! I live in New England and every fall I find myself in the quandary of what to put on my feet!

Tell us something unexpected about yourself...
I am a total budgeting freak! Some may call it cheap, but I'd rather call it frugal. Every month I figure out how much I am able to spend for my various expense categories and how much I can save towards future goals. It drives my Husband nuts! I have mini savings accounts for everything from home improvements to clothing. I also get a special thrill when I find, make, or do something for a fraction of its cost.
