Kari DelVecchio
Kari Del Vecchio has been creating artwork for as long as she can remember. A favorite toy as a young child was a box of Crayola™ crayons; still, opening a new box fills her with a sense of self and well being. She completed a rigorous program of art training, with high honors, at the Propersi Institute of Art in Greenwich, Connecticut.
After graduation she was employed as a graphic/package designer and illustrator for Betty Crocker. She continues to work as a freelance graphic designer and photographer. But her passion is in painting and drawing.She favors Acrylic paint for its versatility and the Abstract Format for the same reason and loves to let the painting guide the way and enjoy the ride it takes her on. While she is creating,she feels incredibly balanced and at peace. When Illustrating she loves to use pencil, watercolor and ink, and the intent is more thought out and detailed in its design. Whimsical thoughts always come through in them. Which takes her back to the box of crayons ...

In my kitchen, but I never leave home without a sketchbook.

All genres, from Mozart to Emmiem or Pink Floyd to our dog snoring.
